cool site – looking forward to seeing it expand!
I took the ‘What Kind of Goecacher are you?’ quiz. No surprise it put me as the Social One / Tech Guy. Did the Geocaching Rank the other day and had 125. I’ll be about 130 in a couple weeks after a trip with friends to Seattle for the GS Block Party.
Retook the test, I’m up to 135.

Site has great potential, but it is riddled with typos, spelling mistakes and semantic errors. A good proofreader or editor will help that. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for stopping by, Moorely. I know that it’s a problem and I am working on improving the quality of furture articles. Even with a good spell checker, mistakes do slip through when you stare yourself blind on a text and when English isn’t your first language.

You know you’re doing something right when someone takes the trouble to criticize your spelling! You’ve done a great job! (“Riddled” is a bit over the top.)
This should surely be on one list or another: “Called in sick for work because there’s a new series of caches out and the weather is just to nice to pass it up.”
(or maybe it’s there and I just missed it.)
My score of the Geocaching Rank is 119 (122 if I claim the “Armchair” virtual caches that are in Europe I can add the 3 points for A cache abroad)
Fun… I like that it wasn’t based only on number of finds but on a wide range of experiences and also contributions to other geocachers like hides and hosting events. t counted 140 points on the quiz.
We have been caching for just over a year, and got a respectable 89 points. We logged our 1500th cache on our one year anniversary a couple of weeks ago.

Took the test, scored 125. I’ll break that soon enough getting more cache finds, cache hides, FTF’s as I’ve maxed almost everything else out.
My 1 year geocaching anniversary was this past july and I scored a 103 on your quiz. Now over 365 days straight of caching and 1600+ finds…..thanks for the great blog.

I am new at geocaching so was glad to see you had a section for beginners. Just wanted to let you know several of the links on the beginner page do not work. But thanks for the information that was accessible.

I love all the stories. I think you would love one wherigo cache in Portugal. It is a roleplaying game inside a cave with more or less 12/15 kms, in a labyrinth way. You have to choose your character and then inside just start going to where you want and you will face monsters, decisions, dangers you will found weapons (phisical) and you can had them to your character. You are also able to upgrade your character.
Inside you follow your own path and you are responsible to do your own map, the owner don’t give you the map so it is up to you. In the end and after finding everything you need you go to one marvelous logbook.Inside the cave there is a big wall in a room and there is drawn all the constelations. The logbook is one glowing star where you log your caching name and put it in one of the contelations.

CheekyBrit signing the guestbook. A nice site to help get people familiar with geocaching. It took me a bit of head scratching to figure out that cache bombs (from the list of 100 must do items) refers to a cluster of geocaches all placed at the same time.
