The Result

Have you answered all the questions and summarized your score? Check the result here!

0-5 points – Your caching experiences are very few! Perhaps you have only recently learned about the hobby. Perhaps you have just found your first cache, and maybe even met a muggle or had a DNF. But odds are you don’t even know what DNF stands for yet. You are at a very early stage, but this is where the fun begins!

6-20 points – You are still a beginner, but you are starting to grasp how things work. You still have a lot to learn and at this point you stand before an important decision: is geoaching something you really enjoy, or was it worth a try but turned out not to be your cup of tea. If you decide to contine and if you haven’t bought one already, now might be the time to purchase your first GPS.

21-35 points – You’re stuck in the geocahing swamp, and there’ss no turning back! You are experimenting with the possibilities of geocaching and go on regular trips. But there are still plenty of surprises waiting for you…

36-50 points – Geocahing has become part of your everyday life, or at least an activity you gladly pursue when time allows. You have experienced quite a bit and have gathered some fun tails from your adventures. And you have most likely received an odd look or two from your surroundings because of your newly found hobby.

51-75 points – You are what we could call the “average geocacher”. It might sound dull, but you are at a decent experience level and have left all the newbie stuff behind you. You know all you need to know, where to look and have experienced a lot. But you are not yet part of the “elite”. If you get there depends entierly of wheter your interest for geocaching keeps going strong or cools down in the near future.

76-100 points – Looking good! You have been caching for quite some time and are . or at leat have been – among the most active within the hobby. You have reached plenty of milestones and might even be a very known face within your local caching community. Through events you have gotten to know other cachers and online you have an alias that many will recognize.

101-125 points – You are among the most active of the bunch! You have been active for a very long time and if someone has questions about the development of geocahing throughout the years, you’re the one to ask.

126-152 points – Very few geocachers are as experienced and active as you. You might be one of the pioneerss, or you have been *very* busy for an intense period of time. Whatever the case, you deserve an honorable mention. Any serious geocachers knows who you are!

153 points – You have maxed out all the answers! You have either been disshonest, or you are *the* geocacher. We can only congraulate you – everyone worships you!

  2. Well, I’m average, lol. But, I’ve only been at it for about 5 months so give this newbie time to catch up.

  3. I’m not as bad-ass as most (58 pts), but I had to laugh when I read and remembered, “Well Officer, I’m not supposed to tell you what I’m doing, but since you’re in uniform, I will.” Ha! BTW, he was very nice about it.

  4. 84 .. Looking good! You have been caching for quite some time .. And I’ve only been caching for 6 months .. wolfspirit55

  5. 148. I only lost out on the high find/hide count and not actively following a blog. Thanks for the quiz that confirms that Geocaching is apparently more than just a hobby for me. 🙂

  6. Yay I got 64… Not bad really, and definitely much more than I thought I would have. 😀
And yes I’m perfectly fine with being an average geocacher, being part of the elite is not in my interest. I just love the nature, the geocaching game, finding new interesting places, people, cool hidings and take pride in making some of my own also. But the competitive stuff I leave to others.

  7. Scored 150 points……

Neat test….I’m all about getting out, going somewhere new, finding new places, learning new things…. and I rarely find traditional anymore unless they’re unique, different, older, or part of a series leading up to a puzzle final or something else different. 😆

  10. I enjoyed the rating.
As a frequent paddle cacher I thought of some more:

flipped the kayak while trying to find a cache – 3 pts

watched the inadequately secured kayak float downstream – 2 pts

    found a cache in a shipwreck – 3 pts

broke a bone at a geocaching event – 10 pts

  11. 82! And most of those points have been gained this year. We caches when our children were young, lost the habit for 4 years as they got older, but have rediscovered the joy this year.
